As an enhancement to our applications, PoolExpert.com chose to use a "session cookie" which stores temporary information in your browser while connected to PoolExpert.com - this session cookie is never written to the hard disk. The session cookie acts as a digital signature to identify your current session to the Web Server. It is generated automatically by the Web Server when the login page is retrieved and is stored for the duration of the session. This ensures that the information requested returns only to the browser that has logged in. The session cookie is only valid until you either close your browser, you choose to log off PoolExpert.com, or your session on the Web Server times out. Currently, most browsers do not distinguish between session cookies and permanent cookies, so "cookies" must be on or accepted for PoolExpert.com applications to operate.
